Tyco International recently launched the Clean Water Access Initiative, a global partnership with Action Against Hunger, to bring safe drinking water to some of the most vulnerable communities around the world. Dedicating more than $2 million over the next three years and drawing on Tyco International’s Flow Control Division, this ambitious initiative will improve ACF’s ability to implement clean water projects in communities affected by acute malnutrition. Action Against Hunger honored Tyco International at our 11th Annual Benefit Gala for this momentous accomplishment.
Ultimat Vodka has become an indispensable ally in Action Against Hunger’s efforts to raise awareness and funds to fight global hunger. In addition to partnering with Action Against Hunger for an array of promotions, Ultimat recently underwrote print advertisements in six high-profile magazines and a 15-second video public service announcement broadcast on the CBS Super Screen above 42nd Street in New York City.
For every vegan, gluten-free food bar purchased, Two Degrees will donate one ready-to-use therapeutic nutrition pack to Action Against Hunger. Because these packs require no water or refrigeration, Action Against Hunger field workers can treat severely malnourished children right in their own communities with up to 95% success rates, rather than transporting them hundreds of miles to the nearest hospital or clinic.
Retail electricity supplier North American Power—recently named by Forbes Magazine as one of America's 100 Most Promising Companies—donates $1 per customer to several preferred charities (including Action Against Hunger) each time they pay their monthly electric bill.
Global X Funds, an innovative provider of exchange-traded funds that facilitates access to investment opportunities across worldwide markets, is a key funder of Action Against Hunger’s global food-security programs. These initiatives provide long-term solutions that strengthen vulnerable communities’ ability to create sustainable sources of food and income and help them regain self-sufficiency.
Since 2010, Captivate Network—a media company that broadcasts digital programming and advertising in high-rise office buildings in North America—has provided more than $620,000 worth of public service announcements for Action Against Hunger in 814 buildings across 19 states.
Watermatic—the leading purveyor of sustainable, economical purification systems—provides purified, naturally flavored drinking water at all major Action Against Hunger events.
The London-based Financial Times selected Action Against Hunger as its partner for its 2010-2011 seasonal appeal to readers. The seasonal appeal, taking place from November to mid-January 2011, has raised £5 million over the past four years for Camfed, WaterAid, and Room to Read.
Finish Line, a leading retailer of premium shoes, selected Action Against Hunger as its charity partner to provide corporate fundraising for Haiti. An in-store Good Samaritan promotion raised $50,000 in cash to ACF, which was matched by $50,000 from Finish Line’s Foundation as well as an additional $25,000 from Finish Line’s corporate side to match any employee giving up to $25,000.
Brighton Collectibles' Give Peace A Chance campaign lets customers choose one of four charities to receive a $5 donation from the sale of each Peace Bracelet. Since 2007, Action Against Hunger has received more than $125,000 from this campaign.
Action Against Hunger partnered with Gatorade to create G Movement, a campaign that challenged "extreme" athletes to raise awareness and funds to help end global hunger. Gatorade’s sponsorship included training grants for athletes, the production of promotional videos, and a $100,000 contribution.
